At 10:05 this morning a male osprey intruded the Dyfi nest. He was un-ringed, so we have no idea where he comes from. Maybe a Scottish bird on his way home?

The main event happened at 13:55.

After fidgeting all morning, up and down, side to side, Glesni started to 'chip' softly in that very characteristic manner that is the unmistakable prerequisite to egg laying.

At 13:55, on Day 13 following her return to the Dyfi and first mating, this happened:

Glesni laid two eggs in 2014 and two in 2013. So the big question this year - will she lay a trio of eggs for the first time?

We should have a second on Saturday (25th April), and a third, if we get it, on Tuesday (28th April).
