Ospreys are very good at finding other ospreys! Throughout the breeding season we spot and record numerous ospreys in the territory of the Dyfi nest. Some are cautious and keep their distance, others are very bold and will land directly on the nest. If the intruding osprey has a leg ring we will use the high definition cameras to read the ring and then investigate where that bird has come from. Some birds visit once, others make more frequent visits, some have even gone on to make the Dyfi their home.
