Opening of the Dyfi Wildlife Centre and Dyfi Osprey Project 2021

Opening of the Dyfi Wildlife Centre and Dyfi Osprey Project 2021

Pre-Booking System for Visits

After 20 months of not being able welcome visitors on to the nature reserve, we now have a date for opening the doors of the Dyfi Wildlife Centre for the very first time.

Here is everything you need to know about how we will be doing it and how you can book a visit.

We have been busy behind the scenes, not just with putting the final touches to the Dyfi Wildlife Centre, but also beavering away with some new technology that will enable us to have a pre-booking system for visits to the new centre and Dyfi Osprey Project this season.

We are egg-cited to announce that we will open our doors on Monday 3rd of May 2021 for the very first time.

In order to open our doors we are having to limit visitor numbers to ensure that everyone can socially distance in all areas of the reserve. To enable this to happen we have divided the day into three bookable, time-limited slots with cleaning time in-between. We are using an external website facility for our bookings and this will also collect information for Track and Trace should it be needed.

The booking system is straightforward to use and you will pay on arrival at the Centre, not online. You will be able to make bookings for up to six people and up to seven days in advance. Once a slot is full it will not accept any further bookings. You will need to book a place for everyone in your group - this includes MWT members, children and season ticket holders.

Our staff will be wearing PPE and we ask that you do too - in all inside areas.

Masks required to visit DWC

We will be reviewing our visit arrangements regularly and in line with the latest government guidance. Please do not book or visit if you or anyone you have been in contact with has symptoms of Covid-19.

We have also put together some "Frequently Asked Questions" about visits during the Covid-19 pandemic in order to help you make the best of your visit to us.

All of the steps we are taking will help to keep our staff, volunteers and visitors as safe as possible during their time on the reserve. We understand that a lot has changed in the way we are operating and ask you to be patient with us as we get this new way of working up and running. Hopefully we can be welcoming many more of you back through the doors in the not too distant future.

New centre - new season tickets!

2021 Dyfi Wildlife Centre season tickets

We have new season tickets for 2021. These will be on sale from Monday for you to purchase during your booked visit if you so wish. We have plenty so please do not 'pop in' to collect one - as we can't let you in without having a booked visit. We do hope to be offering them for sale in the online shop in the next week or so.

Hopefully it won't be too long until we can fully reopen. It will be incredible to be able to share the whole of the new centre with you and celebrate all the amazing work that has been done to bring this new project to fruition. We look forward to seeing your smiles (even if they are under your mask!).

This is new for all of us - be patient and be kind.
