Merin (2015 bird) was first spotted back in Denmark trying to breed (unsuccessfully) but is now happily breeding in England – on a natural, osprey-built nest.

Here's Merin airborne over his nest - many thanks to Ian Watts for the photo.

With Aeron and Tegid breeding in north Wales, this means that Monty and Glesni have now had FOUR birds return and successfully breed in THREE different countries. Clarach bred in Aberfoyle, Scotland, and may still be there.

What a legacy.

A zillion thanks to Peter Davies who ringed Merin's chicks and sent us all this information. We are absolutely euphoric.
