Book Your Visit

MWT DYFIMWT DYFI

Booking Essential - You must pre-book your visit for every member of your group.

We are excited to be able to welcome visitors back to the nature reserve for the first time in over a year. We have a number of new systems in place to keep everyone as safe as we can during your visit with us. Please read the guidance below in full before making a booking.

We will be reviewing our visit arrangements regularly and in line with the latest guidance.

Remember do not book or visit if you or anyone you have been in contact with has symptoms of Covid-19

**UPDATE** we have updated our booking information in preparation for the Welsh Government easing of restrictions on the 17th of May. Bookings before this date may vary slightly.

How our Booking System works

In order to keep our staff, volunteers and visitors safe we are currently operating a pre-booking system for all visits. Bookings can be made up to seven days in advance and we will be limiting numbers to 40 people at a time.

You need to book a place for every person in your group, including children. You can book for a group of up to 6 people in line with government guidance.

We are offering three time slots each day for visits of up to 2 hours. Each slot will allow entry for up to 40 people to ensure we can maintain social distancing in all areas of the reserve.

The time slots are:

Slot 1 - 10.00am until 12:00pm
Slot 2 – 12.30pm until 2:30pm
Slot 3 – 3.00pm until 5:00pm*

*Please note the cafe will close at 4.30pm

We will have half an hour between each booking slot for our staff to clean down areas open to the public.

How to Book

You can book here on the website using the red button below. The button will take you to a booking site called “Reservio”. Once on this site you will be able to see the time slots available for the following week and book your desired time.

You need to book a place for every person in your group, including children. You can book for a group of up to 6 people in line with government guidance.

You do not need to pay at the time of booking, however, we do ask that if for some reason you are not able to come to your booked slot you let us know via enquiries@dyfiospreyproject.com so that we can make this available to other visitors.

Upon Arrival

We ask that you be considerate to our staff, volunteers and other visitors, and maintain a 2m distance at all times during your visit. Masks must be worn, correctly,  in all indoor spaces.

Upon arrival we ask you to make your way to the welcome area by the bollards, just outside the Dyfi Wildlife Centre entrance. Here a member of staff will meet and talk you through your visit.

We will then ask you to make your way to reception to pay for your visit preferably via contactless payment.

With payment complete you can begin your self-guided visit along our flat, wide boardwalk to the 360 Observatory. Please remember that bookings are 2 hours only.

At the 360 Observatory

The maximum capacity in the observatory is 20 people, this includes members of staff. Please wait at the doors to the observatory to be invited in. Please be aware while in the observatory that there may be others waiting to get in, so please be considerate in the time you take.

We will not be providing any optics (Binoculars, Telescopes) at the observatory under Covid-19 guidelines, please bring your own.

Please follow the guidance of our staff at all times.

At the End of Your Visit

At the end of your visit time slot we ask that you make your way promptly back to your transport and leave the site. This is to allow staff to clean down the public areas ready for the next visitors.

We hope you enjoy your visit and will come and see us again soon - and hopefully without any of the restrictions mentioned above!
