We have Girl - Boy - Girl

Here are the weights and names we've given them based on Welsh rivers and lakes - thanks for all the suggestions: 

And here this year's offspring compared to all other years in terms of weight on ringing day. 

Llinau and Ogwen were slightly above average for their gender with Elsi being slightly under the long-term average for females; not surprising being the youngest chick and a few days behind her siblings. She clearly wasn't eating enough!

Here are their ages at ringing - a couple of days older than we tend to ring young ospreys at the Dyfi. This was due to searing 34C temperatures last week so we postponed the ringing for a few days until temperatures were below 20C.

As an added bonus, when Tony checked our owl box on our way back he found six barn owl chicks in there, all at the right age for ringing too!
