How to get to us

How to find us

The Dyfi Osprey Project is on Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve just off the A487 between Machynlleth and Glandyfi. Our postcode is SY20 8SR.

Please be aware that some Satnav systems may not take you directly to our site, you will know you are in the right place when you see our large red Dyfi Osprey Project signs marking the entrance to the reserve.

There is a carpark onsite, it is not huge so we do ask you to park considerately.

Coaches - We are currently unable to take coach group bookings due to Covid-19 restrictions

Due to the size and access to the carpark we are unable to accommodate buses or coaches over 33 seats in size.

Please contact us if you are planning a visit by coach. There are alternative parking areas nearby that could be used after disembarking passengers at the project.

The X28 Coastliner Machynlleth - Aberystwyth service will stop at the Dyfi Osprey Project. If travelling from Machynlleth you need to get off opposite the entrance to Morben Isaf Caravan park which is right next door to us. From here, you need to enter the caravan site and follow the signs for the reserve. This will take you along a footpath of around 700m. Please be aware, this is uneven. Buses from the Aberystwyth direction can drop of directly in our entrance way.

We ask that visitors travelling by train use Machynlleth Train Station and then continue their journey by bus or taxi as there is NO SAFE ACCESS FROM DYFI JUNCTION.

We continue to explore the options of making better transport links and will keep you posted of any developments. In the meantime please do not use Dyfi Junction to visit us.

There is no dedicated cycle route access to the project. Cyclists should be aware that access is via the A487 which is not suitable for nervous or inexperienced riders.

It is possible to arrive at Cors Dyfi on foot via the Machynlleth to Morben footpath  that connects Cors Dyfi with the Wales Coastal Path

Please note there is no footpath along much of the A487 please no not try and reach us by walking along the road.
