New for 2020...

The New Dyfi Wildlife Centre will open in 2020 and will include a dedicated classroom area and will enable us to deliver indoor and outdoor sessions for the first time. The classroom facility will be available from September 2020.

In addition we also have a large covered learning area on the lower level of the 360 Observatory. This area can be used as a learning space or as a lunch area. Please note that while it is covered it is not weather proof and sessions may have to be adapted due to the weather.

What to Bring

Everyone in your group will need to be dressed appropriately for the weather, we can move most sessions into shade or undercover if required but will generally be outside for part if not all of your session. Please bring an extra layer if it is chilly and don't forget the sun cream and a hat in the summer.

Sensible, flat footwear is fine for all visits. You don't need wellies or boots as all access is on our wide, non-slip boardwalks.

Food and Drink
We do have a cafe on site and groups are welcome to book catering in advance of their visit. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks with you, but we ask that you don't eat these in the cafe area. There are a number of seating areas that can be used at lunch time. We do ask that you take all of your rubbish away with you at the end of your visit.

First Aid Kit and Medication
We have first aid facilities on site but do ask groups to make sure that they have their own first aider and first aid kit along with any specific medications required by the group. Please make our staff aware of any relevant medical conditions at the start of your visit - particularly allergies to insects and plants.

Information about finding The Dyfi Osprey Project and Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve can be found here.

Please be aware that we cannot accommodate large coaches (more than 35 seats) in the carpark and that drop off areas are very limited. We recommend groups use minibuses where possible.

Please let us know when you book how you will be travelling so that we can organise parking to accommodate your vehicles.

Other Site Users

Please be aware that The Dyfi Osprey Project and Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve are open to the public everyday from March to September. This means that we cannot offer exclusive use of the facilities like the 360 Observatory and small hides during this time. We can however arrange group access to these areas and make sure that the education areas are availble for group visits.
